Israel attacked Gaza in Palestine after tensions escalated. Rockets were fired into Israel and it retaliated by attacking compounds, media houses and other civilian areas. Earlier Israel had attacked the Al Aqsa Mosque which started this whole sequence.
Israel refers to such actions as ‘mowing the lawn’.
