Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the much awaited Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) policy. He warned of strict action against departments that create hurdles for the agriculture, industry or the services sectors and in the export process. He emphasized the importance of SMEs, these sectors and of exports and cited countries that had done the same, with visible success.
He said, “We have decided that the government would take action against the department that would create hurdles for the sector that would be providing employment opportunities, whether agriculture, industry or services sectors. We have reduced for the SMEs in the policy with regard to credit to start their business.”
