Pakistan textile exports hit record levels for July to January FY22, increasing by 24.7% to touch $10.9 billion ($8.8 billion).
This increase has been due to the GoP’s support policies, uninterrupted gas, and electricity supplies and easy credit. Value added products were prominent – knitwear exports increased 33% to touch $2.9 billion, ready made garments increased 22% to $2.2 billion, bedwear increased 19% to $1.9 billion and cotton cloth increased 24% to $1.4 billion.
