ADB and Pakistan signed a COVID Support financing agreement worth $500 million for “COVID-19 Vaccine Support Project” under the “Asia Pacific Vaccine Access Facility.”
This loan is meant to help the Government of Pakistan procure and deploy safe and effective COVID vaccines and strengthen the country’s capacity to implement its vaccination program. Under this financing facility, ADB will provide $500 million for procurement of COVID vaccine on concessional rates with a 25 year repayment period including 5-years grace period, with a 2% interest rate.
