The Asian Development Bank (ADB) said that Pakistan’s economy is on the path of recovery. It grew 3.9% in FY21 and is expected to reach 4% in FY22, as business activity resumed in the second year of the COVID epidemic.
The Asian Development Outlook (ADO) 2021 Update, which is the ADB’s annual flagship economic publication reported that Pakistan’s economy is expected to continue its recovery in FY22, supported by stronger private investment, improving business activity, a consistent vaccine plan and various economic stimuli. Challenges remain in the form of unsteadiness, fluctuating demand and supply. Continuing structural reforms are expected to establish continuity from IMF support.
