The stock market has improved index wise and volume wise, but it is a question of whether it will be sustained. The taxation structure has many issues. It is cumbersome and difficult for people to understand – added to that is a trust deficit as the Government only looks at targets rather than long term based solutions. If the Government only builds up Sales tax vigilance, Pakistan can increase its tax revenue by 3 fold.
