FBR’s latest initiatives in tax collection with, tax net expansion & cash transactions center on the Computerized National Identity Card are discussed. Now 17% GST on domestic textile transactions, the CNIC being compulsory for any transaction above Rs. 50,000 are being questioned by the textile community and traders in particular. Dynamics and consequences discussed.
