CRSS as part of its “Pak-Afghan Trade & Economic Connectivity” initiative ongoing since 2017 in partnership with PAJCCI, held a Pak- Afghan Youth Entrepreneurs Conference” at Marriott on Thursday 27 Feb.
The conference brought together 10 Afghan Youth Entrepreneurs and 11 Pakistani Youth Entrepreneurs from various digital technology startups. Aimed at sharing and benefiting from each other’s business models and ideas and to explore ways to develop synergies, partnerships, and possible joint ventures between the young business leaders, so that they can tap each other’s markets for their products and services.
Discussions on How to Run Modern Businesses Across Borders Applying Digital Economy; lIllustrating Challenges and Opportunities While Launching Startups; Women- Led Businesses in Afghanistan & Pakistan and Opportunities Across Borders for Joint Ventures in the three sessions and final session on brainstorming to devise business plans for possible future joint ventures. Concluding with formation of Pak- Afghan Youth Caucus.
Notable Speakers and participants included Mr. Naeem Zameendar, former BOI Chairman; Ms. Fatima Anila,certified in business incubation and mentoring; Ms. Parwarish Oryakhail, Vice President AWCCI, Ms. Afsheen Zeeshan, senior vice president IWCCI, and Mr. Faheem Sardar, MD Tangent and former CEO of Askari Securities.
