The GOP is set to launch the National Remittance Loyalty Program (“NRLP”), which will offer monetary and other benefits for Overseas Pakistanis to use the official channel for remittance purposes. The ECC approved the launch of the NRLP, which will be helpful in building up foreign remittances in the country.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan has been pushing for this for some time. Earlier on 2nd July 2021 he chaired a meeting on the enhancement of inflow of Foreign Currency into the country, in this the SBP gave an overview of how this can be achieved. The SBP, Ministry of Finance, NADRA, PIA and other organizations are sitting together to finalize the working arrangement. The target is to launch the NRLP on or before 1st October 2021.
