Pakistan July – January FDI Dips

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into Pakistan for the period July to January FY21 dipped by 27%, amounting to $ 1.145 billion (last: $ 1.577 billion).

 

FDI inflows stood at $1.79 billion against outflow of $ 647.2 million. Despite the improved performance of Pakistan’s equity market, foreign investors were gradually withdrawing their investments from the stock market with an outflow of $237 million.

 

Total foreign investment in Pakistan, comprising foreign direct investment, portfolio investment and foreign public investment fell 78% to $755 million (last: $3.44 billion).
