Pakistan National Command Authority met to discuss regional security, arms, nuclear and other related matters.
This was the 25th NCA meeting, which was Chaired by Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan at the Strategic Plans Division Headquarters, and was attended by Federal ministers of Foreign Affairs, Defense, Finance and Interior, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), chiefs of Army, Navy and Air Force and the DG Inter Services Intelligence (ISI).
NCA was briefed about the evolving conflict dynamics, arms build up in both conventional and non conventional terms. The NCA said that these are destabilizing factors which are concerning.
While Pakistan does not want to engage in an arms race, Pakistan will take all measures to ensure the strategic stability, minimum level of deterrence and security. NCA reiterated that it is a responsible nuclear state and will work towards regional stability.
The National Command Authority (NCA) Wednesday expressed full confidence in the command and control systems as well as the security measures in place to ensure comprehensive security of strategic assets of Pakistan.
