Pakistan’s Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) provisionally collected tax revenue of Rs. 2.204 trillion during July-December of FY21.
This is against the assigned target of Rs. 2.21 trillion, reflecting a shortfall of Rs. 6 billion. Last year the collection for the same period was Rs. 2.1 trillion.
Income tax collection for the same period was at Rs. 0.82 billion, while sales tax, federal excise duty, and customs duty remained at Rs. 0.92 trillion, Rs. 0.13 trillion, and Rs. 0.34 trillion.
