Smuggling of Dollars Weakens Pak Rupee

Latest Pakistan Political Economic News

It was reported that the smuggling of US dollars from Pakistan to Afghanistan has weakened the Pak Rupee. This is being done through carriers (often children),  agents, truck drivers and travelers.

The Pakistan government has detected that agents “often use local children who frequently cross the border unchecked by border authorities,” a source disclosed.

The Pak rupee has come under pressure in the past 3 months (especially) and many are ascertaining that it is not related to market dynamics.
