Faheem Sardar
Chairman & Member, TANGENT Advisory Board
Faheem Sardar is the Founder of TANGENT. With over twenty four years of experience, his expertise is in Investments, Finance, Economics, National Security, Policy, Strategic Management, Governance, Business Development and Intellectual Property. He has served as a business practitioner as well as a regulator.
He is currently with the Government of Pakistan, advising on policy concerning Economics and related matters. He was the Chief Executive Officer of Askari Securities Ltd for nine years. Under his leadership, he successfully restructured ASL into a competitive organization in a short span of time, touching record business dynamics, in a difficult environment and against trends. He is on the faculty of the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance and teaches in various private and government organizations. He has attended the National Security Workshop of the National Defense University. He was engaged with the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan regarding macro and micro structures and also in investor education.
His books are ‘The New Finance Construct’, ‘Mind Conquest’ and ‘CEO at 34’ which are part of the National Library Collection of Pakistan. He speaks regularly on electronic media and radio. Web
Nasir Malik
Head – Corporate Advisory, TANGENT
Nasir Malik heads the Corporate Advisory and Corporate Affairs arm of TANGENT.
He is a corporate finance and projects specialist having spent more than thirty years in both fields. During his career, most recently he served as the Senior Vice President at Saudi Pak Investment Company for fourteen years taking care of corporate finance, projects and general services.
Prior to his tenure at Saudi Pak Investment Company, he was with the Regional Development Finance Corporation in North Pakistan, for sixteen years. During his tenure at RDFC he looked at development and commercial projects which ranged in various sizes and in various sectors.
He is educated in both business administration and in chemical engineering.
Faeyza Khan Faheem
Head – Inclusive Finance & Digital Innovation, TANGENT
Faeyza Khan Faheem heads the financial inclusion and innovation arm of TANGENT.
She is a development sector professional with over 12 years’ experience with the International Finance Corporation (private sector arm of the World Bank), leading both investment and advisory projects globally and in Pakistan. Her country experience spans MENA, Asia and Africa, which includes conducting training. Previously, she has honed her technical acumen at Hewlett Packard, both in the Silicon Valley and in Paris. She has also worked in the banking sector with Bank of America and ABN Amro N.V. She has led multiple projects across the globe covering digital finance transformation, housing finance, MSME and Agri and microfinance among others. The end to end delivery included scoping, diagnostic, business plan preparation, training, rollout and eventually execution. The sustainability and commercial success of her projects generated ‘highly successful’ ratings from the World Bank’s independent evaluation body.
